So far the main character Nick has just made an official statement about his missing wife, Amy. Something that interests me is how the author uses structure, by contrasting Amy's old journal entries with Nick in the present. It shows the downfall of their dysfunctional marriage and how sweet traits can be twisted into sour ones.
