This gets better and better. WCW shows how this episode is highlighting IX as the true torah, who brings light, live and salvation to Israel - through his word and holy Baptism - healing the old Israel and creating the new Israel after 38 years of bondage... Its one of those great festivals of God, when one sinners comes to life - and this gives rest, peace on God´s Sabbath - a rest for his people. Wonderful gospel!

Great. Here he continues with Christology and especially the 2 nature’s of IX and his unity with the Father. It’s about salvation through IX and how this is prefigured in the OT - especially Moses, but also Daniel. Life is in IX and to be without him is to be under judgement and death.

Notes on Incarnation, unity of the Father and Son - their one will to salvation of mankind. The food of the Son is to do the will of the Father - and he becomes the bread for mankind and their salvation. Same with the water flowing from the new temple. Deep!
