The conflict in my story is character vs society. Bruno the main character, made a friend that lived on the other side of the fence. The only problem is, he doesn’t follow the same religion as Bruno’s family. Bruno still wants to be friends with this young boy, but he doesn’t understand that he can’t.

The protagonist of this story is a young boy named Bruno. Bruno is about nine and and he currently isn’t loving his new life. Bruno and his family just moved to an old house in the countryside. In Bruno’s eyes, this new house is a dump compared to his old home. Bruno is trying to do all that he can to go back to his old home.

I chose the book because I had forgotten my book at home. Ms. Thomas was looking for a book for somebody else and showed her The Boy in the Striped Pajamas. The girl said she had already read it and really liked it. I really like the book so far because there are a lot of details/description, and it seems like I am left at a cliffhanger at the end of each chapter.
