So far I am interested in the story, finding out the issues that the "perfect" moms have are making a connection with me. The cuts of the murder investigation questions always remind me that there is a bigger picture to the story.

All the mothers are starting to face some of their problems, Madeline has to start facing the fact that Abigail is with her dad, Jane is deciding if she wants to pull Ziggy out of school or not and Celeste is questioning if she should really leave her abusive husband. Along with this Ziggy is getting blamed more and more for Amabella's injuries and is being excluded from the other kids.

Now that it is clearly showing what each mother is going though I am more invested in what will happen with them. Jane's internal conflict with Ziggy is now clear, and it's difficult to imagine the damage the rape has had on her relationship with her son. Along with it we see Madeline struggle with the fact that her own daughter is "betraying" her. I like reading her internal struggle about letting her daughter go.

I loke the conflict between the mothers. While it is sort of dramatic I like how the conflict between the mothers adds on to their own narratives.
