Abby finds a card from the basement and she is convinced that it is her aunt. Dan, Abby, and Jordan's friendship wasn't as strong because of the trip to the basement and getting caught.

Dan told Abby he liked her and she felt the same way, he also went back to the abandoned office and found a secret passage with Abby and Jordan. They got caught but Abby's tears got them out of it. He keeps getting weird emails that disappear about patient 361. Suddenly Abby and Jordan are very mad at him and he doesn't know why.

Dan is having trouble sleeping after he went into the basement (abandoned asylum) and did further research on the place. He doesn't want to tell his friends because they might think hes obsessed. Also Dan has a crush on his friend Abby.

A conflict Dan has faced is that after going into the abandoned part of the school which was an asylum before he is starting to hallucinate and not being able to sleep at night.

I relate to Dan because he is very curious and he isn't very good with meeting new people.
