The book is very entertaining to read so far. One thing that stands out in particular is the dialogue. The dialogue combined with the elements of mystery in the book makes it hard to put down.

This was a good book. It started off very slowly, with almost the entire first half of the book being expository. Throughout this expository portion of the book though, you become very attached to Louis Creed, the main character of the story. In the second half of the book, it becomes more of what you expect from Stephen King, and you witness many unexpected deaths, along with the slow grip of insanity on Louis.

Louis Creed just buried his family cat. The next morning, his cat came back, perfectly alive. Louis at this point keeps denying what just happened, trying to convince himself that he buried another cat on accident.

There was a very interesting development in this story. The family pet, Church, that Louis just buried, returned to the house the next morning. He was hit by a car and broke his neck, so Louis and his neighbor, Jud Crandall, went to the Pet Sematary to bury the dead cat. They did that, but Church came back completely fine. Louis realizes the obvious absurdity in this series of events, and he goes to talk to Jud.

Currently, more weird things are happening to Louis Creed. The family cat died, and him and Jud Crandall ventured past the Pet Sematary, deeper into the woods. Louis Creed is confused and scared about the Pet Sematary, as he keeps having dreams about it. I left off where he and Jud buried the cat at the top of a large hill. Now, I am anticipating at what this means for the safety of him and his family.
