Written in first person like the last one. Well-written detail. A little more bodice-ripper than I prefer. Has more action than the first book and lots during the last 80 pages or so. Good story overall. Not quite sure of the time period of this series. Before the Jacobite rebellion when there were pistols, but later when ladies' fashions were more sophisticated and Highland men more often wore trews.
