I agree with much of what the author says. But so far it’s been a bit of a slog, and around 70 pages in I got tired of being beaten over the head with alternating self-loathing and scolding anecdotes of over-parenting. Still worth reading, but the first 14 chapters could have been done in a third of the words. So far, I’d say scan the first half of the book and tuck into the practical advice in chapters 15 and 16.
