Finished the 3rd lecture which discusses the relationships between physics and other sciences. Feynman seems to know nothing about geology or meteorology. I know these lectures date from the early 60s and the theory of plate tectonics was in its infancy but he just basically dismisses the whole of geology as "we haven't got a clue".

Whoah. Lecture two is a mess. It's all over the place. No wonder Feynman lost most of his students in these lectures. There is no structure or coherence to the lecture at all. Just throwing concepts at the reader in what seems to be an almost random manner. Ironically the chapter is called "Basic Physics".
