I was reading the prologue this whole time -_-. But starting the book I'm starting to understand it more. I've figured out information like setting take place long ago (1939)because he mentions hitler. Also I've been writing down on post its, the characteristics of "the book theif", to try and figure out who she is.

Since this book doesn't have much of a exposition, I've been trying to figure out what n we have to figure out exactly what the protagonist is..The authors says things like "I am all bluster. I am not violent. I am not malicious. I am a result." He also say "at one point in time I will standing over you". This makes me think that maybe the protagonist is death or someone who takes you after you die.
