Shit. This is so boring.

Getting weird......

Nope. Depressing again. It's very typically modernist in character. Bears a few similarities with Thomas Mann's 'The Magic Mountain', thankfully not as long though. The purpose of the book is fairly obviously didactic, so the theme tends to drown out the narrative. I'm interested in the ideas dominating the story, but would much prefer them written explicitly as a philosophical treatise rather than a narrative.

Only now starting to get better and less dreary. Praise The Lord Jesus.

I don't know whether I'll get through this.
