Dang, the dad is absolutely bonkers. How could all of this been happening??

Well the prose just hits you like a blunt object doesn’t it?
Can’t help but being reminded of Educated, maybe that’s an unfair comparison. I mean the only thing they pretty much have in common is that a girl is having a very traumatic childhood due to crazy fanatic parents.
While Educated made me uneasy at times while reading it, this memoir is almost unbearable to me when it comes to describing the abuse.
