I take it all back. Mr. Straub is just more subtle than I'm used to when reading about the sixties. This book is loads of fun!

Not much to evoke the 60s, but a Vietnam mention, now and then. Characters do not speak in the idiom of the time. Story's okay, though.

Yikes, this got really mixed reviews here. It's set in the 60s and it's by Peter Straub, how could it be bad?
