Catching Fire is told in a chronological fashion, with the occasional flashback. It’s chronological because the story takes off right from the end of the last book, the same setting, and progresses through time. The memories of the gruesome, torturous Hunger Games still haunt her, and the visions of hunger, suffering, and death come to her in these terrible flashbacks.
