UPDATE 5/13/19 (you gave me extra time b/c I didn’t have a book) In the beginning of the book, it tells us that Avery Dennis was assigned to give an oral history presentation about herself in class. That’s why all of her break-up stories are being told; she thinks they are what make her unique. The most important word was CRISIS because Avery said that that word was the best way to describe her life at the moment.

5/13/19 To make her oral report the best it can be, Avery swore off dating until she finds out who she truly is. Avery has been someone’s girlfriend for so long, that she forgot what it was like to just be herself. I predict that Avery will find out something deep about herself, then she will know why all of her breakups happen so she can know for the future. Also, she will save the prom and make a great comeback.

UPDATE 5/6/19 (the day we had the sub) Everyone in the whole school is talking about Avery Dennis and how her boyfriend broke up with her, and right before prom! Avery has never been broken up with before; she is notoriously known for dating then dumping a quarter of the guys in her grade. My favorite character so far is probably Avery herself. She is dramatic, but is also funny and kind at the same time.
