The author describes the relationship between Dave and Linda it says how they didn’t kiss each other goodbye, a ritual they completed every day, that morning. I think that the author is trying to describe how such small moments matter in our lives especially because they can be taken so quickly.

Eric was a smart kid that earned A’s however he also did a lot of illegal activities and was very socially involved. Dylan was also smart but he wasn’t as popular.
