So far it’s a little confusing because I read the first book over a year ago, so catching back up with what happened and knowing all of the characters is difficult. The story so far is captivating though, with the ever present comet residing in the sky being seen by all of the characters, even those very far apart. They are on their way to the wall currently, and I can’t wait to see the outcome.

In this chapter the book is following Sansa's perspective in King's Landing and the Red Keep. So far, it has been made very apparent that Joffrey is very abusive and cares little for her. Anything she says may very well result in her being beaten by his guard. The tournament in Joffrey's honor was ended early because he was not pleased by those who competed. He called them gnats and saw them unfit to entertain him.
