Hume was difficult. A skeptic arguing against the reliability of causation. It can hardly be said that one thing causes another. I don't fully understand.

Reading about John Locke. I knew he inspired the American Revolutionaries, but I never knew his works' ideas were so agreeable to my own. I guess I'm American after all.
Actually, reading this book is really reading the history of Western thought, so I recognize various positions and attitudes through the ages. It excites me to recognize any.
