The character broke out from the detention facility. This novel is becoming more and more action packed with each page. There is some plot twists I had never expected...

Ok so now I can’t put the book down... the plot completely flopped and there are all new antagonists. This is so unlike any of Gratz’s other books. Usually the plots are quite linear

Wow... this book just had one of the biggest plot twists I have ever read. I am honestly speechless, with what has just happened. So many questions have been answered, only to create so many more.

There is finally a break in the repetitive cycle of the interrogation center! I am excited to see where this goes, as the new character continues to build his relationship with the protagonist.

The character is still stuck in the interrogation center and I was beginning to become bored with this section of the novel until a new character appeared. He has quickly become the protagonist’s new best friend and I am curious to see how their relationship will affect the rest of the novel.

The main character is taken to an “interrogation center”. I have read about these and how brutal they were to Muslim Americans in the early 2000s. I am beginning to wonder how long the main character will be stuck in here?

This is different than Gratz’s other books. The novel is told from one perspective. The novel also takes place in America, which is unique for the author.
