Nagini the snake (also a horcrux of Voldemort) is a symbol of evil. It is also a reference to the Bible. Of the story of Adam and Eve as they where in a perfect world until the snake lured them to eat the apple. The Forbidden forest in Harry Potter is a symbol the place where things go wild. Like when Barry Crouch breaks the imperious curse their and warms Harry and Krum about Voldemort.

Harry which is the main character has many important traits. Some of them are that he is sometimes narrow-minded all though this is usually not a good trait it has helped him throughout the years. For instance in the first book how he was convinced that Snape was trying to steal the Philosopher Stone which lead him to capture Quirell/Voldemort. Another one of his traits is that he is persistent.
