“All his life he’d practice being hidden. Unnoticed. Now at last, when he most needed to be seen, he was truly invisible” (192). Mahmoud and I are similar trying to stay invisible or unnoticed. At Proctor flying under the radar is nearly impossible but over the years I’m master that art. Participating in class is the best to make the teacher think your following along with the class and behind on reading or writing

Mahmoud was rescued by a Greek ship after being stranded in the freezing cold water. The author describes the suspense and makes me want to keep reading after they are saved another terrible thing occurs to their family the suspense just keeps going.

I've really liked the book so far the first part has been a little boring as the characters develop but now I think the survival story is about to happen
