It is a struggle to get through this book. Everytime I pick it up I have hope, but then I remember I'm not invested in the story. I don't care, if that makes since. I feel like this book was written for me. It was written for Liberal White people and Bougie Black people....

I am interested in the book, but I dont like the author's voice. Seriously, I sometimes think she doesn't really like Black people. She seems to embody all the stereotypes of the bougie Black folks I have run into. Then again, I am like, maybe that is because she is being truthful to herself. I can respect that. But, yeah, I dont think I would like her as a person.
