So far in the book I am confused because Hanneke thinks that the girl that was hiding in Ms.Janssen’s house wasn’t Mirijam. Also I think that Mirijam’s friend Amalia has something to do with Christoffel.

Right now in the book Hanneke is questioning who she dressed yesterday because that person did not have a big scrape on her knee like Mirijam. She also wants to talk to Ms. Janssen because Hanneke wants to ask her questions about who she thought was Mirijam.

The most significant word is Mirijam because Hanneke is trying her best to find Mirijam because she feels that if she can save Mirijam then she won’t feel as guilty as Bas. Also Hanneke feels that she owes it to Ms. Jannessen to find her.

Ollie and Hanneke are waiting for the transport to start before they can get Mirijam. Ollie just told Hanneke that he loves William and Hanneke is shocked and is worried that Ollie is in danger.

My favorite character in the book is Ollie because he helps with the resistance and got Mina and Julia a safe hiding place until the war is over. He also helps Hanneke with finding Mirijam and he always does the right thing including getting back Mina’s camera.

In the book Hanneke just went to Elsbeth’s house to get the Nazi uniform. When Hanneke went to the house she felt sad and angry because she missed Elsbeth and the fact that she married a Nazi.
