If she had just popped up out of nowhere, however, and said, "So you think you want a revolution?" people wouldn't have paid her any attention. I like Cinder; she deserves more than this "throw it at a wall; see if it sticks" plot.

The narrative is suddenly trying to go all Hunger Games or Red Rising, addressing social justice issues, etc. But the series has spent too much time on an armada of adolescent 'ships, and there's not enough world-building to support deeper themes.

Scarlet has become more tolerable, except, that is, in the presence of Wolf. Nearly all the women are mo-beta absent their true wuvs. Except Cress. She always sucks.
