In the book I am reading it is supposed to take place in the United Kingdom. The book is written by an American, he has wrote it in a way that the characters speak as you would imagine. A problem that this brings up is that everything is measured using the metric system, so I often don't understand.

In what I read the main character was being briefed for a recruitment mission – which is how he was recruited in the first place – when John Jones comes in and gives him a different mission. I'm disappointed.
