Kira’s character traits would be patience, creative, kind, and brave. These traits are important because if she didn’t have them, she wouldn’t be able to live and not go to the field since she is an expert at sewing. Also, she helped calm the little girl named Jo, if Kira didn’t do that, Jo would have still been more frightened and felt lonely.

The one thing that I am curious about is when Vandara and the moms wouldn’t let Kira stay in their tribe and build her cott that got burned after her mother died. They say that she eats a lot and becuase she has a twisted leg so she won’t do any good, but she has a great skill at sewing and making stuff, so why couldn’t they jsut let Kira build her cott and do what she did before her mother died.

The Inciting Incident in the book is when Kira’s mother died, after four days staying with her mother’s grave stone, she decided that she needs to build her own cott where she and her mother used to live. So Kira has a place to stay. What she didn’t know was that most people wanted to kick her out of the village since she had a broken leg with no parents, so she went to the council to see if she stays or not.
