I struggled just a bit in the beginning too, but it was because that damn prologue was so confusing! HOWEVER, it actually was a masterpiece of foreshadowing and now holy f** I'm very into it! I think it's definitely a book to absorb carefully, although it may make you want to binge it.
My strategy at the moment is to set a fixed page goal to reach every day and try to complete it by reading short portions of it during breaks, so as to stop reading when my free time is up even if I'm at a SUPER intriguing part just to make myself eager to pick it back up ASAP! Every chapter is short and feels like a mini cliffhanger, so it keeps you interested!
