Oh my god this book is a slog, I'm forcing myself to finish it because I already flipped to the last chapter and read that. I'm not the audience for "fantasy version of England with high rechnology sending troops to fantasy version of Africa that is populated by demonic magic-using uncivilized cultures while also detailing every little bit of minutiae in the military because somebody is weird about military history"
