If I could give a character from my book a gift for Christmas, I would give Buck 3 dog bones, and a couple tennis balls since after all, he's a dog.

Buck, with the whole pack behind him, is chasing after a rabbit. Buck is so close to the satisfaction of killing his prey when Spitz leaps onto the rabbit before Buck. Buck and Spitz begin their fight to the death.

While at a stop, one of the dogs goes mad. Buck had never seen this, and in a panic he runs as fast as he could a quarter mile away. With the mad dog on his tale, he runs back to the sled driver hoping to be saved, and the sled driver smashes an ax through the skull of the mad dog. Buck was saved.

Buck was returning to his resting place that he dug out of the ground when he saw that it had become occupied. It was none other than Spitz, and Buck, who wanted to avoid the conflict, couldn't help from attacking Spitz.

Buck watches in terror as a fellow dog who he cared about it ripped to pieces. As dogs pile on top, the dog is killed quite easily, and this made it hard for Buck to sleep at night.

Buck was let out of his confinement to battle with a man that wielded a button that could deliver an electric shock. Although Buck was able to survive several hits from the button, he is eventually defeated and put back into his cage.

After being choked out of consciousness, Buck wakes up on a train with restraints around his neck. He is chocked out of consciousness again, and finds himself still on the train in a cage.

Dogs are very needed in this area as it get's very cold. Our main character happens to have a very large dog that he really loves, I think...
