I was sooo worried this would be dumb chic-lit before I read it, despite the reviews I read. Definitely not dumb chic-lit. This is well-done, somewhat heady stuff.

Opening and closing paragraphs of chapter 1 were exquisite. But there was too much mashed in-between, like Groff was in too much of a hurry to get info to the reader. Since then it's been smooth sailing and very good.
