Oh! No! I've already hit a major snag. Author has the bastard son (that has been ignored for 26 years) inheriting a dukedom. IMPOSSIBLE -- Laws of Primogeniture don't allow it. I know that the story itself is going to be good - this author's always are -- but I'm afraid that is going to mess it up a lot for me.
