Kaye finds out that her life has been a fake life as the real Kaye has been replaced by her, a changeling pixie. Kaye then gets visited by faeries that were her friends when she as a kid. She founds out one of them have been killed by Roiben the faerie that she saved. She later find out that a court filled with faeries want her dead for some reason unknown to her. Roiben betrays the leader of the court and saves her.

Kaye isn't a normal girl and she knows that. In her past she befriended these two faeries. Her mother not believing her says they are imaginary due to the fact that she was at a very young age. When going back to her old home she runs into a severely injured faerie named Roiben. I think what happens next is Kaye will try to save him due to the fact that they both look quite similar.
