The characters are interesting enough to have made my flight home from Florida pass without too much distraction. However, the book could use a little style and grammar editing in order to feel a bit more polished. There are a lot of sentences that aren't really sentences, but rather just nouns with descriptive words and that's it. I'll admit that sort of writing makes me crazy.
