In this story there are many things that I wonder, like how did the hunger games come to be so long ago, and how did technology become so advanced, and why the districts seem so poor yet the capital is so rich and technologically advanced. This book makes me curious about if our society will ever have technology like the society in this book.

In this book the main character Katniss Everdeen has many traits that make her the character she is. She is very courageous which is important to the story because she tributes for her sisters place, and in the games she goes out her way to help and keep Rue alive as well as aid Peta Mallark. She is also a kind, compassionate character who doesn’t take no as an answe and helps others.

I am reading the hunger games and in the pages I have read the inciting incident in the story is when prim’s name is drawn out of the glas bowl in district twelve during the reaping. Katniss goes on to volunteer as tribute in he sister place. She is chosen along with Peta Mallark for district 12.
