I predict that Tom Robinson will be found guilty of the accused crime. While many people will be appalled, in a backwards, racist, city like this, unjust acts regarding civil rights and race usually go unspoken and are “silenced” by the whites. People who find this unjust and unethical will speak out but they will be ignored, disregarded, and sometimes punished.

The setting is the 18 or 1900’s in Alabama. A small, quaint town called Maycomb County. Everyone knows everyone and can get to anyone if needed. The plot could be influenced by the location the book is taking place due to the social climate of the south during this time. It could also affect the plot by the decisions people make and how the act towards or with other people.
