The first two volumes were the best biographical writing I have experienced. Manchester + Churchill makes for an incredible combination.
I was somewhat anxious to see if Paul Reid was going to be up to the challenge left to him by Manchester; I stand relieved completely. Manchester left a large volume of research notes and about 100 pages of the book to Reid. He has met the challenge and well so.

There is much to be learned about WW II from a political perspective in this book; it is of course from Churchill's perspective. So far, the book is entertaining, funny in a couple of places, and very enlightening.
