This has been a convicting and encouraging book so far...
There has been a LOT of silence between my mom and I for years...no terribly hard feelings...just lots of awkwardness and silence that I think we both just ignore, which adds to the silence...

"I want to encourage you to speak. Admit there's a problem and you don't know what to say about it. What's valuable an important is that you're talking about "it" even if you are only admitting to the other person that you don't know what to say. It's very humbling."
