A few things:
(1) When your favorite artist works with your least favorite writer: Do I linger on pages to soak in the art, or do I speed through the story to get it over with?
(2) That Zero Year issue made zero sense. It added exactly nothing, except plot holes.
(3) So far the story's basically "Jerry Maguire," with Cat Grant as Renée Zellweger.

This is an interesting book, because by all means it shouldn't exist. Another book, "Superman: H'El on Earth," is a crossover of Superman, Superboy and Supergirl. That book should be "Volume 3." This one is merely the Superman portions of it plus the Zero Year issue (which can also be found in "Superman: Krypton Returns," another crossover book).
