Spelling mistakes, grammatical errors (missing quotation marks, missing hyphenations), undeleted computer errors (e.g. "[526???]". An extremely poorly proof-read edition. I accidentally ripped a page and didn't even care.

Such a classic, but how much is perceived quality tainted by nostalgia of youth? Here I am reading Dune out loud to my partner which she so far is enjoying immensely due to political intrigue, but as a fellow writer as an adult, boy is there some atrocious writing thus far!
