It's like reading a monster story from the point of view of the monster. Who's also extremely eloquent. A fascinating, uncomfortable read.

Nabokov's prose is off-the-charts.

One of those books that reads like a beautiful song. Its subject matter is repulsive, of course, but the prose is unmatched.

This has become my nightly "pretty words before I drive off to sleep" read, hence the small instances of progress when compared to my usual reading pace.
