‘Spectral Light’ by Amy Irvine reminds me camping at BC Hydro in Frazier River valley - my dog bulleted from 3 am slumber and dolphin punched a hole in the tent trying to get out, hackles up and shaking but still silent. A brown bear walked through our site to where neighbors left food out. I screamed at the dog and it escalated enough noise that people with guns swarmed us within minutes.
