The end of the story closes in, as Kendal accepts her mom’s offer to meet for lunch, and figures out that her life’s just beginning. A message of this book that should be taken away is that life always is changing and there’s are ways to accept some difficult change, no matter what. This is true that life is always changing, so sometime in life, a person has to adapt to change because it will always be with them.

Kendall achieves her goal of finding Lily’s “pass” to send her to the other world. Brandon also accepts and tries to understand Kendall’s way with ghosts, so they get back together. More good news, Kendall and her dad talk more, she has made up with her Bff, Ellie, and she talks with her relevant mother. “Ghost of a Chance” has a genre of fantasy. Kendall can speak to and see ghosts and sends them to the other world.

Will Kendall accept her mother’s wish to explain why she left? Does she mind the outcome? Will Maddie and Stella spot Kendall with the invisible Lily sneaking around Lily’s old dorm room?

After a visit to Maddie B’s house, Kendall realizes that rumors are being spread by her. After a little drama with Maddie, Kendall also has to sit down and tutor a little girl with her ex-boyfriend, her new “boyfriend”, and worst of all, Maddie. I think Maddie is the most interesting character. She’s a diva, bully, bratty, and also sensitive about her sister’s death all at the same time. She has a unique personality!

Kendall is trying to help forgetful Lily find her death place in order to help her cross to transfer away from the living world of Earth, and has to take risks like going over to Madison Bakers home. An important quote would be, “Lily probably wasn’t talking about her bedroom-she was talking about her dorm room.” It’s important because now finally, Kendall has a lead and piece to the puzzle of the longing location.

Kendall searches for a TV for her room at the store with her dad, finally the thing she has always wanted for her room. She also visits her friend Madison, and does have to explain to her older sister (Lily) that she is a ghost and needs to cross to the spirit world. I think the author’s style is serious but also very interesting and fun to read. The author does a very good job at sentence structure and description.
