This story is about a voyage . Over summer all the girls except for one go on a trip. One goes to Greece ,Mexico , and southern Carolina . One person who over comes a threat is Carmen .Since her dad left her she visited his new family , they were mean to her cause she was over weight. She stood up for herself . She went for her dads wedding and made fun of how she looked in her brides mate dress .

A way I relate to this book , is how all the girls went away for summer but stayed connected . I went to Brazil for the whole month and I had no friends , but we stayed connected . At one point I actually watched the movie and I told my friends why don’t we talk about our weeks each week and we just text eachother , kinda like the book. It was really fun and we did it for the last two weeks I was in Brazil .

They all have best friends, they have been best friends there whole life . One of the characters dad left her and her mom , started a new family and are about to get married

All the girls over summer go somewhere far away , which lead them to share the pants and send them over from all around the world to eachother . Without them traveling and being far apart , you couldn’t even had created the book

A connection that I made from the book is that , the movie is very similar. Yes, of course they are because movies and books on the same topic will be , but this one is very exact , people say the book is better than movie but they are really the same thing . When I was a few chapters in I already thought they were similar ,
