This was a gift and I have completed neglected it while feeling totally obligated to see it through. I think I'm struggling with a slow pick up and an unfamiliarity with the authors writing style. It's all run-on sentences, too many conjunctions. But it's early and if I can manage to get beyond the odd introduction to the character then it might just grow on me.
