Durie recommends reading the most important sources on Muhammad’s life (3 of them), and then the Qu’ran in order to better understand Islam. I think I am going to take up his advice in reading the 3 sources, though I cannot suspend reading the Qu’ran until then, for academic purposes.

Durie argues on p 18 - 20 that the fundamental problem, means to the solution, and solution in Islam is respectively, ignorance, guidance, and success.
