This is not the kind of book I usually read, but around Valentine's Day my library did a "Go on a Blind Date with a Book" where they wrapped books in newspaper, wrote a few sentences about the premise of each, and then let people check them out. So yes, I've selected a book based on about two sentences, and without having seen the cover or read the flap.
