I can make a connection between the book and Harry Potter and the deathly hollows because in both books Harry and bill are trying to fight their fears and destroy them (Voldemort and Pennywise) they are also trying to save their friends from their fears as well

I think bill has two archetypes, the hero and the caretaker. I think he’s the hero because he saved Beverley from it. I think he’s the caretaker because he took care of Ben when no one else did

A significant moment in the book is when the kids find Its hideout and see all the children that have been captured and soon to be eaten floating around. When they see one of their own they become very scared and think it’s a bad idea coming to the place but Bill thinks otherwise and goes to save her.I think this is a turning point in the book because it’s when bill realizes that he is not afraid anymore.

In Stephen kings It I can connect Bills brother dying with the main character in penpal finding out his best friend had been murdered. In It bill and his family thinks he ran away or is lost for a long time until they figure out he was murdered. The same thing happens in penpal when the main character and his friends family thought he ran away from home when in reality he was kidnapped answer murdered.
