In the chapter I read today, Harvey has officially beaten mr. hood, but Rictis has stolen some magic, and hood has stole it from him, reincarnating himself.

The current setting of my novel, is a utopian disaster. Where I’m at in The Thief Of Always, Harvey the main character has just beat a magical house that’s been keeping him prisoner, and stealing his years of life, at its own game. Harvey Swick is the brightest soul they’ve ever seen, and mr hood, the main antagonist, wants his soul. However, Harvey eventually sees the dark magic of the house, and sets himself free.

In the Thief of Alaways, I chose Harvey, the main character the author talks about most. Harvey at times is a very stubborn kid who doesn’t fully understand what life is, which is why he wants more than what he has, and doesn’t realize how stubborn he is until he escapes mr. hood. When Harvey was finally bableto escape mr. hood, he realized how much had really been taken away from him, instead of given to him.

I chose this book because I read about it when it was on the summer reading list for 7th grade but I didn’t get the book because my dad wanted me to read something else. However, this year I asked my mom to buy it so now I’m reading it for independent reading. This book went past my expectations because once I started reading it I just wanted to read it more and the writing makes it really easy to just picture it.
