I think that in the Tom Robinson case that the judges are later going to decide that Tom Robinson is not guilty of harassing Mayella Ewell. My best guess is that Mayella did hug and kiss Tom as he said but instead of telling her father, she hurt herself (the marks on her face) to make it seem like Tom was the one who hurt her so then the father wouldn’t be suspicious of her doing anything to Tom.

In the book to kill a mockingbird the setting is a place called Maycomb County. Maycomb was an old town. It was dark and wasn’t alive. When it rained the streets turned to red slop and grass started to grow on the sidewalks. This county might influence the characters by the moral the people have. It might influence the plot by how there will be different action instead of peaceful living.
