In the book The Hnger Games Kattniss the main character lives in district 12. Which is basically a place where there’s fences all around so you can’t leave. The social climate is low key because a lot of people are coal miners and most everybody is kinda poor. The setting might influence the characters and the plot because they might get annoyed of doing the same thing so they could revolt against the capital.
